[ADC Beta] QuickTime 7.6 Build A44 Seed Notes

 

Segundo nossas fontes, em 17 de Novembro de 2008 a Apple enviou aos ADC o novo build do QuickTime 7.6 com a numeração A44;

QuickTime 7.6 for Mac OS X 

Build A44 Seed Notes 

November 17, 2008 

Note We do not recommend installing this build on production or mission critical 

systems.  Installation on a separate OS X or Windows partition is strongly 

advised. 

Note Today we’re releasing QuickTime 7.6 build A44 for: 

Mac OS X 10.4.9 and later versions of ʻTigerʼ 

Mac OS X 10.5 ʻLeopardʼ 

Note This QuickTime seed will not install on Mac OS X Panther systems. 

QuickTime 7.6 A44 Release Notes: 

Below you will find a listing of the changes and improvements in this build 

relative to the last public release. 

Important It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you install this build over a release 

version of QuickTime. 

Mac OS X: If you have installed previous testing builds of QuickTime on 

your machine you should perform a clean install of Mac OS X or create a 

clone of a clean OS X volume prior to installation of this build of QuickTime 

7.6. 

Windows: Please remove any previous testing build of QuickTime via the 

‘Add/Remove Programs’ panel prior to installation of this build.  You may 

install from there or by upgrading from the release version of QuickTime 

7.6. 

QuickTime 7.6 is installable on Mac OS X 10.4.9 and later, Mac OS X 10.5, 

Windows XP (SP2) and Windows Vista only.  Do not install on other ver- 

sions of Mac OS X or Windows. 

Important Areas for Testing: 

*AAC encoding and playback 

-Test different target bitrates, sample rates, channel layouts, and 

quality settings.

-Encode using different source file types e.g. WAVE, AIFF, etc. 

• MPEG-1 playback and transcoding 

- Test a variety of content: MPEG-1 Layer 1, MPEG-1 Layer 2, 

MPEG-1 streams with different bit rates 

- Check for color correctness 

- Check scaling during export 

- Window resizing behavior 

Known Issues: 

Mac OS X: 

• None 

Windows: 

• Not seeding a new Windows version at this time.

Important These seed notes are confidential.  Do not discuss any of the information in 

these notes or in previous or future QuickTime 7 seed builds outside of the 

mailing list.
